What is your warranty on Lamps?
Answer:
Most manufacturer's offer a 90-day or 500 hour warranty, whichever comes first. Please call the original manufacturer of the lamp assembly to find out what your warranty is for your lamp. If you are having trouble locating the original manufacturer for your lamp, contact us at 289-813-2125, and we can assist you in finding this out.
How many hours will my projector lamp work?
Answer:
Just like any light bulb you would use for another purpose, projector bulbs have an expected operating time, called lamp life. This value is expressed in number of hours - typically 1000 to 2000 hours. Newer models are claiming 4000 hours of lamp life and more. The lamp's success rate is based on a bell curve, so that a majority of (but not all) lamps will meet the lamp life hours specified. Some lamps will fail sooner and this is part of the acceptable operating range of the rating.
For projectors that are used under normal operating conditions (no more than three to five hours per day in a clean, relatively dust-free environment) the lamp will have the greatest likelihood of lasting through its entire rated lamp life. Projectors that are used more often or are exposed to environmental contaminants are more likely to show a decrease in lamp life. Projectors that are operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week are at the highest likelihood of lamp failure before the end of the rated hours.
Most manufactures offer a lamp rating, please refer to your owners manual for the information.
How can I preserve my projectors performance?
Answer:
Make sure when turning off your projector that you let it cool down sufficiently before unplugging it. Failure to do so may result in an immediate loss of the lamp. Repeated disregard of the cool-down feature will eventually cause your projector to stop functioning altogether. Some new projector offer an Instant off feature, it's our recommendation to allow the projector to cool for at least 5 minutes prior to moving the projector, and a minimum of 30 minutes if you are replacing the lamp.
We cannot stress enough the importance of keeping the filter clean and openings clear of dust and lint. We offer many replacement AIR FITERS for your projector, they can be Found Here If you don?t see the filter you are looking for just give us a call 289-813-2125 and we will happy to help locate it for you.
Make sure the projector has ample "breathing room" with adequate ventilation, so that the unit doesn't overheat, putting extra pressure on the motor and the lamp
What are the common causes of lamp failure?
Answer: The most common causes are over heating and over voltage.
Consider power protection for your electronics
What if my lamp is on backorder?
Answer: Due to increasing demand for LCD and DLP replacement lamps, back orders from the manufacturer can be a common occurrence. Rest assured, ProjectorBulbs.ca commitment is to be the first to bring in the lamp availability you need. We stock thousands of the most popular lamps, but we can not stock them all. It is important to place your backorder with us as soon as possible since backorders will be fulfilled in order before they are available to the general public. First come, First serve.
Where is the manufacturer's part number for my Lamp?
Answer: We provide you with the convenience of not needing to know the part # of the lamp you need, instead, you are able to simply search by your projector's manufacturer and then select the model of your projector and the correct lamp will display if available. If you still need to search by the lamp part #, simply enter the part # in our search on the upper right of every page of our website. When you enter the part # to search, a list of available lamps matching the part # that you have entered will be displayed. If you need further assistance, please contact our sales dept at 289-813-2125, option 1
When will my backorder arrive?
Answer: Backordered items are those which our suppliers are unable to predict when they will have more in stock, but as soon as they do, we will be able to ship the item to you.
Do we sell copy lamps?
Answer: Copy Lamps / Branded Lamps - we do not supply any kind of imitation lamp that uses a different bulb. When you purchase a Manufacture lamp from us, that is what you will receive! Independent tests have shown that Copy lamps under-perform versus the above options and often prove to be a false economy due to their poor build quality, poor lifetime and poor brightness. We do not want to compromise our reputation with our customers
